IMAX Theatre to Go 3D

The Area's Biggest Screen Will Now Be 3D!

The Challenger Learning Center is pleased to announce that the area's biggest movie screen will now be 3D! We will close the IMAX Theatre in September for construction. The new IMAX theatre will re-open on October 1, 2010 as a Digital 3D IMAX Theatre. We will remain the IMAX Theatre with the area's largest screen and most affordable ticket prices. Read more here.

Sky Guy Planetarium Show

The First Saturday of Every Month at 10AM

Every month, the Sky Guy who writes a monthly astronomy article for the Tallahassee Democrat, hosts a free planetarium show. Each month different objects and topics are featured. If you have a good time exploring the sky with this guided tour, stick around for the first public Downtown Digital Dome show, which is presented to those who attend the Sky Guy show at a discounted cost. Now YOU Can be an Astronaut

Think you have what it takes to be an astronaut?  Have you always wanted to go to the Moon, Mars or beyond?  You can experience the next best thing to space travel at the Challenger Learning Center Space Mission Simulator  – now open to the public.  On the second Saturday of each month from 10am-12pm you will have the opportunity to be a part of a NASA mission to the moon, voyage to Mars or rendezvous with a comet.
