International Observe the Moon Night

This is an annual event encourages observation, appreciation, and understanding of our Moon and its connection to NASA planetary science and exploration. Attending this event means you will be included in the international headcount of people observing the moon.

Join the Tallahassee Astronomical Society (TAS) for International Observe the Moon Night to view the moon in the Plaza through a variety of telescopes. We’ll also have  Skies Over Tallahassee available in the Planetarium.

International Observe the Moon Night is a worldwide celebration of lunar science and exploration, celestial observation, and our cultural and personal connections to the Moon. One day each year, everyone on Earth is invited to observe, learn about, and celebrate the Moon together.
