Cubelets
Grades Pre-K – 12
Description
Each Cubelet has a special function, so how you assemble your robot changes its behavior. It’s hands-on coding! Each Cubelet has a special function and belongs to one of three categories: SENSE Cubelets take in information from the robot’s environment, THINK Cubelets compute and change that information, and ACT Cubelets turn that information into a physical action.
Cubelets’ magnetic faces make them simple to snap together and pull apart. Connect at least one SENSE, THINK, and ACT Cubelet to create a robot construction. The Bluetooth Hat pairs robot constructions with mobile devices. Cap your creations with the Bluetooth Hat to add new abilities to block combinations using the free Cubelets app. The Cubelets app is your portal to the software blocks inside each Cubelet. The remote control manipulates individual Cubelets to change the behavior of an entire robot construction. It is easily scaled to older and more experienced builders. Students can build with the high-level THINK Cubelets to develop computer science skills and analyze robot constructions and visualize data flow with the Bar Graph.

Our STEAM-themed camps feature hands-on activities led by experienced educators. The Challenger Learning Center’s “Camp Challenger” strives to ensure campers have fun in a safe and educational atmosphere. At the Challenger Learning Center, campers are guaranteed focused attention with a ratio of at least one educator for every eight children.
Camp counselors, as well as volunteers, are made up of teachers, students pursuing a degree in education, professionals with an extensive science background and/or individuals experienced with child care or best practices in education. Additionally, in order to maintain a secure atmosphere, all camp staff completes a Level 2 background check and all camp staff are diligent about checking identification of those dropping off/picking up children.
